1. The duration of study at MSc leading to the receipt of the Postgraduate Studies Diploma is defined as a minimum of three (3) semesters, which also includes the time for preparation and assessment of the postgraduate thesis (i.e. two semesters of attending courses and one semester for the preparation and writing of the Diploma Thesis).
  2. Postgraduate students must successfully complete their studies, including the writing of a thesis, by the end of the third semester. With the proposal of the MSc Coordinating Committee and decision of the Assembly of the Department of Medicine, it is possible to extend by one (1) semester the time of study and/or the time of writing and submitting the Diploma Thesis.
  3. In accordance with paragraph 2 of article 33 of Law 4485/2017 (114 A) postgraduate students are provided with the possibility of part-time study for working students if they provide supporting documents such as proof that they work at least 20 hours per week, the duration of which cannot exceed twice the normal study period. Partial study is also provided for non-working postgraduate students who are unable to meet the minimum requirements of the “full” study program and for special extremely serious cases such as: illness, workload, serious family reasons, conscription, reasons of force majeure, for which the Assembly of the Department decides.
  4. Postgraduate students may also be granted, upon submission of a relevant application, a temporary suspension of studies, which may not exceed two (2) consecutive semesters. During the suspension, the graduate student loses student status. The time of the suspension is not counted towards the maximum duration of regular studies.

If the postgraduate student fails at least one course after the completion of the repeat examination period in September, he/she may, upon request, request a review by a three-member committee of D.E.P. members. of the School, who have the same or related subject matter as the course being examined and are designated by the Department Assembly.
